Shaun and Helen have been working in the hotel and catering industry for over 30 years. They met and married in Yorkshire before Shaun was promoted to the position of Head Chef at one of the most prestigious country estates in England. Having spent 20 years managing a busy kitchen in a thriving restaurant, Shaun and Helen made the decision to open their own business and searched for a premises in an area where they felt they could serve their high-quality brand of cuisine in a relaxed, informal, local setting. Abbots Bromley beckoned, and, after much thought and hard work, On The Green Cafe and Deli opened in Autumn 2017.
Helen and Shaun have developed the Grade 2 listed building into a comfortable and welcoming space. Tables are large and chairs comfy. A leather sofa sits in the corner where you can enjoy a relaxed vibe. Don't want to eat in? Visit the deli counter and take away a range of our food to enjoy at home.
Shaun's first love is cooking. He is happiest in the kitchen creating food which he hopes will please the taste buds of a wide range of customers. His menu is innovative yet simple, hearty and wholesome. Come and give it a try, we believe you will be delighted!
